From producing the "Get the Message" video, which focused on showing teenage drivers the dangers of distracted driving, to putting the word out about past crashes and medical treatment of them, Shock Trauma keeps a close eye on the workings of safe driving campaigns etc.
Fill out the Maryland Annual Driving Survey to help research in this area! We hope the research and results will continue to make our roads and drivers safe! http://stko.maryland.gov/TrafficSafetyData/MarylandAnnualDrivingSurvey/tabid/201/Default.aspx https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MHSO_Maryland_Annual_Driving_Survey_2011 Shock Trauma is undergoing many changes right now. The construction on the new critical care tower was topped off two days ago (June 9, 2011) with a larger and stronger helipad. This new building will expand the burgeoning Critical Care center by 140,000 square feet. The new critical Care tower will house 10 additional operating rooms, over 64 critical care beds and a training center for the continuing education of trauma health care providers. There is still a lot of construction to finish on the inside and the building is expected to open in January 2013.
